Burgers are thick and so good. Service is so sweet an welcoming. Simple menu of burgers and dogs and chicken options w fries and onion rings. Don't over look the FRIED OREOS!

This is one of North Carolina's Jewels! It's a must if you're traveling Hwy 74, so plan your meals accordingly! Food is Sososo good! During lunch hour there is a crowd and limited inside seating, so call ahead for pick up to go. There are picnic tables outside when weather is nice. Check it out and support local businesses!

Awesome food, and great people!! Sometimes there is a small wait due to thru traffic, especially during the summer months, but well worth it! I most definitely recommend you making it one of your stops!! The homemade pimento is my fave!

The food met all expectations, tasty as always. We eat there every trip to the beach. Casual dining with a comfort zone feel. Employees are so friendly like we grew up with them. Oh, did I say great food?

Local place with a long history. Mamie ran this place years ago so local high school girls would have a place to work. The cheeseburger with onions was good. A single patty burger was plenty. Two patties would have been too much! The crinkle cut fries remind me of an old fashioned drive-in. Limited seating inside at a counter. Take it out and eat at a picnic table or your car.

Great stop on the way home from the beach! We had great southern style burgers and hot dogs with fries at one of their picnic tables because it was a glorious day! I noticed they had vegetable beef stew and grilled cheese on the menu today. I hope to try that next time. Definitely recommend. FYI, there is limited seating but it usually works out. Lots of people get to go orders.

Great Cheeseburgers and Hot Dogs! The customer service even better! A favorite stop on the way to the beach.

I had a hot dog, everything but chili, onion rings, a Pepsi, and a chocolate milk shake. The service was good, the food was good, the facility was nice. Nothing really impressed me or stood out, but I'm glad I went in for a bite to eat. I will say that I did really enjoy the onions rings. I could have eaten those until I exploded. Yum!

1st time eating here and I thought it was really good, very large hamburger, good hotdogs and the onion rings reminded me of carnival funnel cakes the batter anyway. Wife said I was crazy but hey I enjoyed them. Will be stopping by everytime I'm in the area.

We stopped there on our way back from the beach. This place had been recommended to us. OMG I had a cheese burger w/ homemade onion rings. My husband had a cheeseburger all the way with French fries. The food was oh so good. Wonderful and friendly staff. Will eat there again. B. Hill

Burger was good, handmade and pressed- they were definitely in the weeds when we visited and we were missing our fried okra. Theres very little indoor seating, and if you do sit indoors, you are right in front of bathrooms, or in the way of people waiting for their orders at the window. Seating is outside and shaded which is good, but weather dependent.

Service was good...food was not good. Ordered onion rings, cheeseburger, and hot dog. Onion rings were soggy with grease, burger had no flavor. Hot dog was good. Very cold inside the diner. I wouldn't recommend.

Stood there for waiting to order looking at the highly qualified order taker expressing I was ready to order with normal behavior when one is ready to; glancing at them, smiling. Completely ignored - as she continued to smoke her cancer stick. The women putting chips was nice. I stand around for some time after then decide well I will go wash my hands and come back. A minute later. I walk out and now there are 4-5 people in line and guess what. All ordering. I guess I didn’t get the memo where you only serve to those dressed like you. I will never return to this place and had been going for sometime. Terrible services provided.

Best burgers all around. Prices are a little high but well worth the money. You can't beat the flavor of the foos that this place serves. Wonderful people that work here.

YO! I'VE PASSED THIS PLACE SEVERAL TIMES OMW 2 MY DAUGHTA'S COLLEGE, BUT WE STOPPED OMW BCK HOME & IT WAS SO WORTH IT. MISS MAMIE'S AWARD WINNING FOOD IS A MUST IF UR PASSING THRU. THE SAUSAGE DOG ALL-THE-WAY & FRIES COMBO WAS AWESUM.

Good fresh burger, sausage dog was delicious and a Large fry is truly a large...enough for 2 adults to share!

The food is so delicious! It's a simple menu but my burger was amazing. The employees were so kind and fast and I could not have asked for better service. We sat outside and one of the ladies even brought our food out to us.

It's ok. We ordered a hot dog but couldn't bring ourselves to eat it because it was bright neon pink...never seen a hot dog look like that but it was not appetizing at all. The burgers were very small for the price. Very comparable to Cook Out but more expensive and takes longer.

Sweet ladies offering some delicious burgers & fries in a setting that is rapidly disappearing in this day and time. For the quality and downhome of this little drive in, its not pricey. You can't get this as McDonald's or Wendy's any longer.

This place is the real deal. Loved the pulled pork and hush puppies.

Mamie's has great burgers, fries, onion rings, fried Oreos, etc.; we always try to stop on the way to or from Topsail Island when we go. One thing to keep in mind is that there's limited seating--there are a few places to sit and eat inside, and several covered picnic tables outside, but it can get a bit unpredictable finding a place to park and chow down sometimes. Lots of folks get to-go orders here though, and the extra effort for seating does not deter us from stopping here for lunch each time we come by. It's become somewhat of a tradition.

Hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had from any restaurant! Thick, juicy, hot, and fresh. My only complaint is I live so far away that it will be forever before I can get another!

Fantastic cheeseburgers. Featured in magazines and news articles. Slow down at the stoplight or you might pass it by. This is the hole-in-the-wall places that mostly locals know of it. Do yourself a huge favor and give your business to Mamie's. Great prices. The burgers are cooked fresh and very thick. One of our favorite burger stops.

Stopped on our way to Myrtle beach. Food was great and it was not generic. Felt like a family grilling tasty juicy burger outside. I would recommend to stop and try it.

If I'm going to pass this place, I'm going to stop. Burgers like they should be, flavorful and juicy. The hot dogs are really good also, but they're chili is just like grandma made it, delicious. If they're open and you like old fashioned burgers and dogs, you don't want to miss this place.

A great place for a good ol' fashioned hand patted burger. The Ladies are great to talk with while they're getting your order together. Definitely stop when passing through!

Good food for an unknown stop while on the road. Very busy. Try to avoid lunchtime. You'll have at least a 20 minute wait after ordering. The burger was very good. Stick with burgers and dogs. The basics we're delicious. But the BBQ sandwich was a little disappointing. No slight to Mamie's. They are pretty clear about being a burger drive-in. I'd come back. A great way to avoid your regular fast food chains.
